THE WEATHER

TODAY WE HAD A HIGH OF 105 AND IT IS NOW 90  SUPPOSED TO REACH 75  SOMETIME IN THE NIGHT I NOTED THAT SACRAMENTO HAS A LOW OF 54 AT NIGHT  ISN'T  THAT LOVELY ? YOU CAN SLEEP WITH NO AC THERE.  THE CURRENT TEMP IS 70 AND IT WAS 90 TODAY. WE TRADED  WEATHERS WHEN WE MOVED I REMEMBER THAT WHEN WE WENT OUT IN THE EVENINGS  TO THE COFFEEHOUSES IN SACTO I NEEDED A SWEATER BECAUSE I GOT TOO COOL.

I MISS THOSE NIGHTS AND THE OLD COFFEEHOUSES. THERE WAS ALWAYS A CROWD THERE AND PLENTY OF CONVERSATION IF YOU SO DESIRED IT. NOT TO MENTION MANY LITTLE DRAMAS GOING ON FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT  ALL THE TIME. I THINK SOON I MAY NEED A TRIP BACK HOME FOR A  REDO OF THOSE FEELINGS.

I ALSO NEED A TRIP TO SANTA FE AND DENVER AND  ARKANSAS TO SEE MORE FOLKS. MY KNEES ARE SO GETTING WELL I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO WALKS NOWADAYS THE ONLY REASON I LIKE TO PARK CLOSE IS TO AVOID A LONG WALK IN THE UTTER HEAT.

You two crack me up, Violet. Your hubby is talking about a mina bird being set loose in central park after learning to say, "Here, Kitty, Kitty, Kitty!" while you are discussing the prospects of your kitten in pigeon grazing. Though I dearly love cats, I am severely allergic to them. We still adopted a calico from a next door neighbor anyway and named her, "Priscilla." (She seemed a little prissy to me.) She was so smart she could actually open the door to the kitchen by leaping on the door knob. Then she would go to the sliding glass doors to our porch deck and push with her right paw to be let outside. Later, she would come home just as I was cooking dinner and push on the glass once more to be let in. She would let me flip her on her back in my arms like a baby so I could stroke her tummy as she purred away. She had the tail of a Main Coon that seemed to go into a "?" mark as she walked away. One night, the snow was a minimum of 6 feet outside when she had to go really bad---we kept no inside litter box. I waited for her to return...but she never did. After that, I could not bring myself to love another cat.

"...We can love many times. Many pets and many people. Keep on loving. Teresa"
My husband died last October after extensive  treatments for cancer the two years prior. We would have been married 40 years on 18th of May. I spent it with our two sons. Otherwise, I never would have made it through the day. Up to that point, I was crying in the shower or curled up on his recliner and counting flowers on the wall....and there weren't any! So Violet and Teresa, thank you for your kind comments. You give me hope. ---angel
